Directions to locate North Carolina State University Undergraduate Admissions Information Sessions and Campus Tours can be found below. If you are visiting campus for other reasons, you may find additional information located at NC State Transportation.
Information Session and Campus Tour Participants Information
Undergraduate Admissions Information Sessions are hosted at the E. Carroll Joyner Visitor Center. Campus Tours depart behind the Talley Student Center on Central Campus.
If you are coming to campus for a tour only and not an information session, we invite you to stop by the E. Carroll Joyner Visitor Center and pick up a complimentary parking pass and map to the Talley Student Center. *Please arrive at the E.Carroll Joyner Visitor Center well before the time of your scheduled activity to allow time to obtain a campus parking permit, find the meeting location for your tour, etc.

Following are directions to the E. Carroll Joyner Visitor Center, located at 1210 Varsity Drive at the intersection of Western Blvd. and Varsity Dr., at NC State University. From Durham via US 70
Take US 70 to downtown Raleigh.(US 70 turns into Glenwood Avenue.) Follow Glenwood Avenue to Oberlin Road. Turn right onto Oberlin Road (approximately 3 miles). Turn right onto Hillsborough Street. Take an immediate left at Pullen Road. Follow Pullen Road and veer right onto Western Blvd. At the third light, turn left on Varsity Drive. The Joyner Visitor Center will be to your right.
From Chapel Hill, Durham and RDU Airport via I-40
Take I-40 East to Raleigh. At the I-40/Wade Avenue split, stay right for the Wade Ave. exit. At the third stoplight, turn right onto Faircloth St. Stay straight on Faircloth (which turns into Gorman St) and turn left at your third light onto Western Blvd. At the next stoplight turn right onto Varsity Drive. The Joyner Visitor Center will be to your right.
From Fayetteville via US 401
Take US 401 to Raleigh. Then take I-40 West to Gorman Street, exit 295. Turn right at the stoplight onto Gorman Street and follow it to the second traffic light. Turn right onto Avent Ferry Road. After approximately 1.5 miles you will turn left onto Western Boulevard. Take the second left onto Varsity Drive. The Joyner Visitor Center will be to your right.
From Henderson via US 1
Take US 1 (which turns into Capital Boulevard) through downtown Raleigh. Turn right onto Western Blvd. Follow Western Blvd approximately three miles and turn left onto Varsity Drive. The Joyner Visitor Center will be to your right.
From Rocky Mount via US 64
Take US 64 West towards Raleigh. US 64 West will merge with East I-440 (Inner Beltline). After approximately seven miles, exit onto Gorman Street, exit 295. Turn right at the stoplight onto Gorman Street and follow it to the second traffic light. Turn right onto Avent Ferry Road. After approximately 1.5 miles you will turn left onto Western Boulevard. Take the second left onto Varsity Drive. The Joyner Visitor Center will be to your right.
From New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia via I-95 South
Take I-95 South to I-85 South. Then take US 1 (which turns into Capital Boulevard) to through downtown Raleigh. Turn right onto Western Blvd. Follow Western Blvd approximately three miles and turn left onto Varsity Drive. The Joyner Visitor Center will be to your right.
From Florida via I-95 North
Take I-95 North to I-40 West. Proceed on I-40 West into Raleigh to Gorman Street, exit 295. Turn right at the stoplight onto Gorman Street and follow it to the second traffic light. Turn right onto Avent Ferry Road. After approximately 1.5 miles you will turn left onto Western Boulevard. Take the second left onto Varsity Drive. The Joyner Visitor Center will be to your right.
