Application Process
ALL
international applicants are required to submit:
- International Application and fee —see below for
details.
- Academic Records (official evaluations for university work
completed outside of U.S.- see Requirements links)
- SAT-I or ACT (freshman applicants only)
- TOEFL score or other proof of English proficiency
- Verification of financial support to Office
of International Scholar and Student Services (OISSS)

Verification of non-immigrant status (if already
in the US) to OISSS
Application
and Fee
International applicants (those who are not U.S. citizens or permanent residents) must submit their applications by February 1 for fall semester admission (August) and August 15 for spring semester admission (January). All international applicants must apply
online via WolfPAW. A non-refundable application fee of $70 (U.S.
dollars) is required. Applicants may pay online when they submit the application or pay by mail (checks or money orders should be made payable to NC State University). Note: international applicants may not request First Year College or undeclared majors within a
college.
Admission decisions are posted as files are completed and applications are reviewed. If the applicant is accepted academically, the admissions office will mail the applicant a letter of provisional acceptance and forms pertaining to financial (and, if appropriate, visa) certification that must be returned to the Office of International Scholar and Student Services (OIS) for approval.
