Definition of International Applicant
The Undergraduate Admissions Office at NC State defines an international applicant
as an individual who is not a U.S. citizen or a U.S. permanent resident (green
card holder).

As an international applicant, you should be aware of several important factors concerning admissions that we wish to call to your attention before you submit your application. All international students must prove English proficiency to be considered for admission. Furthermore, the University does not have any financial aid available for international students. All international applicants must be able to provide documentation indicating the availability of funds for each year of study in order to meet government requirements for financial support.
