New Employee Orientation
Welcome to NC State University's New Employee Orientation Program!
To help acclimate new employees to the University and ensure a
successful beginning, all permanent employees, part-time and full-time,
must attend a New Employee Orientation (NEO) session within their
first 30 days of employment. New Employee Orientation is a one day training.
Orientation
This full-day orientation will review employee rights and
responsibilities and overview the University's services and programs
available to employees. Other topics to be covered include Benefits, Environmental Health and Public Safety, Diversity initiatives, Discrimination Harassment Prevention and Response (DHPR) and IT Services. Eligible employees will also have an
opportunity to enroll in their benefits and meet with a benefit
counselor.
Part-time employees working less than 30 hours per week, but more
than 20 hours per week, are eligible for some voluntary benefits paid
fully by the employee. Part-time employees who are eligible for
voluntary benefits may stay for the Benefits portion of the
orientation.
Note: All employees, part-time or full-time, must attend all portions of the University's NEO program.
