HR Academy

Program Description

The HR Academy is a new certificate program that links participants to subject matter experts in 25 HR topics. Participants of the HR Academy will be exposed to HR functions, legal aspects, NC State policies and procedures, as well as related courses that enhance overall knowledge and application of the HR function.

This program is designed for managers and non-managers and utilizes a flexible scheduling format, which allows participants to participate in courses that fit their schedules. Participants will have one-year from enrolling to complete their certificate program.

Program Requirement

Participants will register for all the core classes using the online web registration. The six or more electives will be selected based on specific needs of the individual and their unit.

The program offers twenty-six (26) courses, eleven (11) of which are core classes.

Certificate Requirements :

You must complete all (11) core courses and six (6) electives within one-year of your start date.

Paperwork Requirements :

Each participant will receive a binder with a transcript. At the end of the program, you will need to send in a copy of your transcript. After we verify that you have completed all HR Academy requirements, a certificate of completion will be mailed to you.

Who Should Attend?

This program is ideal for Personnel Representatives and employees serving in the HR function for their units, but is open to all employees of NC State University.
