USCIS Filing Increase
Effective July 30, 2007, USCIS will increase filing fees for applications submitted for international employees.
The new fees are:
- I-129 Petition for Nonimmigrant Worker (H1B) - $320 (increase from $190)
- I-539 Extend Stay as Nonimmigrant or Change Nonimmigrant Status (H4 family members of H1B employees) - $300 (increase from $200)
- I-140 Petition for an Immigrant Worker (Permanent Residency Petition) - $475 (increase from $195)
- I-485 Adjust Status and Become a Permanent Resident While in the US - $1,010 (increase from $395)
To avoid having petitions returned without action due to incorrect fee
amounts being submitted, International Employment (IE) in Human
Resources will not submit cases between July 20, 2007 and August 1,
2007. Emergency exceptions should be discussed with Jill Guzman, IE
Manager. Jill can be reached at jill_guzman@ncsu.edu or 5-4518. If you
have general questions, please contact Pennie Graham at pennie_graham@ncsu.edu or 3-0200.
Thank you for your assistance.
