Human Resources System FAQs

Where can I get information about V8.9 of the Human Resources System? This information is available from

  • The Human Resources System web site, and
  • Both the Personnel Connections Meetings and the Personnel Connections list serve.

When will we begin using V8.9?

The Go Live date is July 24, 2007.

What is a Virtual PAF?

The Virtual Personnel Action Form (PAF) is a series of on-line forms that will be used for processing actions for bi-weekly temporaries, graduate students, and university housing resident advisors.

What is a Person Add Form?

The Person Add Form (PPAF) is a series of on-line forms that will be used for adding all new campus entities to the database. This form and process have been designed to minimize the occurance of duplicate person entries into the database.

What is Employee Self Service?

Employee Self-Service is a new module that will allow all employees to view and, in some cases change, information about themselves.

How will I access V8.9?

  • Access to V8.9 will be granted by your department through the Automated Security Access Process (ASAP) Form system.
  • The Administrative Portal will be used for V8.9.

How will I be trained to use V8.9?

There will be a variety of training methods and tools available to campus. Visit the HR System Training section of the website for details.
