Leave Without Pay (LWOP)
Leave without pay is granted when a supervisor approves an employee's written request to be absent from work for reasons including family and medical leave, extended educational purposes, vacation, worker's compensation, or personal reasons. Leave without pay may be granted to a permanent or probationary full- or part-time employee.
