Online Application Process FAQ
How do I apply?
Begin the application process using the online application system by either of two ways:
- Click on Apply for this Posting for the vacancy. You will be guided through the application process.
- Click on Create Application from the Home Page. You will be guided through the application process and be able to search postings and click on Apply for this Posting for the vacancy.
What do I do if I forget my password?
Go to the login screen and click I forgot my password. You will be prompted for your username and asked to answer the security questions you answered when setting up your job application account.

How long is a position open to receive applications?
Staff vacancies are posted for a minimum of 5 business days. This date is indicated by the Must Be Open Until date listed in each posting. Vacancies open past the Must Be Open Until date may close at any time.
What is Job Profile?
To be notified by email when new openings are posted that may either be of interest to you, or match at least one of your skills, please complete the optional 3-page section. You must have a valid email address to use this feature. You will be asked to indicate your office/clerical skills, work preferences, and education level. The process should take less than five minutes to complete.
Not all new openings will generate a notification email, even if your skills or interests match those of that position. So please continue to check the applicant site periodically to review new positions.
This feature is entirely optional, and in no way affects your consideration for any position, nor does it automatically apply you to any position. You still must apply directly for any position in which you wish to be considered.
Can I submit a resume with my application?
You will be prompted to submit a cover letter and resume for every vacancy you apply for. You may attach them as a file or copy/paste the information when prompted. Resumes and cover letters are not generally required for staff vacancies.
Can I submit a paper application?
Applications for staff vacancies must be submitted online. They are no longer be accepted by other means (paper, email, fax, etc.
Can I submit a resume for staff vacancies without an online application?
To be considered for staff vacancies, you must submit an online application before the vacancy is closed for recruitment.
How do I edit my application?
To edit your application,
- Login
- Click on Manage Applications
- Select Edit Staff Application
How long does my application stay on file?
Your application materials will stay on file indefinitely.
What happens after I submit my application?
Your application and qualifications will be considered for the open positions you specified, if you meet the qualifications for the position based on:
- The State's minimum requirements, and
- The departmental required skills/preferences
As well you must be considered competitive with the applicant pool before your application would be referred to the hiring department.
The hiring department reviews submitted applications and determines which applicants to contact for interviews. The hiring departments will contact applicants directly.
How do I check the status of my application?
- Login
- Click on Application Status
You will be able to review a list of all the positions for which you have applied and see the most recent status for each.
