Nutrition
NC State’s Employee health and wellness program knows that one of the most important parts of wellness is Nutrition. Our program provides many ways to help in the decision to make healthy food choices while you are at home or at work on NC State’s campus. Better food choices go hand in hand with gaining and maintaining better health so take advantage of these helpful programs.
Build-A-Meal
University Dining’s website provides an interactive nutritional chart that allows you to plan and create your meal before stepping foot into a dining hall. The chart gives portion selections and other nutritional information such as calorie count, grams of fat and total carb count for each food within your meal. Simply choose the dining hall that you will be eating in and when the daylily menu is shown, scroll to the bottom of the menu and click “Nutrition Calculator”!!! Click here for Dining Hall Menus
Food Allergies
NC State’s dining website provides a list of every meal served in different dining halls on campus. If you have celiac disease or gluten intolerance the dining website contains a list of gluten free meals served in the dining halls. There is also a list for those with peanut allergies. These lists are designed to provide you with awareness and safety you need for continued health.
Wolf Approved Snacking
University Dining provides paw print stickers in all campus vending machines to inform consumers that snacks with the paw print contain no trans fats, fewer than 240 calories, and only 1/3 of those calories coming from fat. If you see the sticker… it’s Wolf Approved!
