With the departure of Ernie Murphrey to UNC-GA, I have taken the opportunity to look at the Finance and Business organization and do not plan to fill the Associate Vice Chancellor for Financial Services position at this time. We have very capable personnel within the Financial Services unit and across the Finance and Business organization. It is my intent to more fully utilize existing personnel.

In that regard, effective May 1, 2010, the Office of Contracts and Grants (Julie Brasfield), the Controller's office (Cliff Flood) and Systems Accounting (Ralph McLester) will report to Steve Keto, Associate Vice Chancellor for Finance and Resource Management. Lisa Osborne will provide administrative support for the Finance and Resource Management Division. The Cashier's Office (Bruce Forinash) and Materials Management (Bob Wood) will report to Kathy Hart, University Treasurer and Associate Vice Chancellor for Finance and Business.

These consolidations allow us to better utilize our resources while maintaining the appropriate oversight and leadership.
