The Appropriations Act of 2009 which establishes the budget for the State of North Carolina is awaiting the Governor’s expected signature. One of the provisions of the Act is the repeal of the Over 65 Tuition Waiver program at all UNC system schools.
If you have submitted a waiver to NC State University for the Fall 2009 semester, we regret to inform you that we are no longer permitted to process your waiver request.
If you have already registered, you will need to officially drop the course(s) or pay the balance due by 5:00 PM on Monday, August 17, 2009. If you do not pay for the class or drop it by this date, you will be held responsible for the charges.
If you have not yet registered you have the option to do so, however, you will be required to pay for your class(es).
Tuition and fee rates are available at http://www.fis.ncsu.edu/cashier/tuition/default.asp
The Over 65 Waiver Program continues to be available through the Community College System.
