How do I log in to make an online payment?
Students start by logging to the MyPACK Portal and select "Student Self Service", "Campus Finances", and "Account Summary". Select the "View eBILL" button.

Authorized Payers may login at https://quikpayasp.com/ncstate/qp/login/authorized.do with authorized payer login name and password given to you by the student.

What if I don’t know my unity ID and/or password?
Students can find information about their unity account at http://www.ncsu.edu/it/essentials/your_unity_account/loginid.html. Please contact the Office of Information Technology (OIT) at help@ncsu.edu or at 919-515-HELP (4357) for further questions.

What is an authorized payer?
An authorized payer is an individual who has been designated by a student to view electronic billing statements or pay a bill online. As an authorized payer, you may change your password, setup and store your own profile and account information, make a payment, or view any past payments you have made on the student's behalf.

How do I set up an authorized payer?
To set up an authorized payer, the student will log into the MyPACK Portal and select "Student Self Service", "Campus Finances", and "Account Summary". Select the "View eBILL" button. Once the ePAY site opens, select “Authorize Payers” and then enter a login name and password for parents or other authorized payers. The student will need to keep track of user names and passwords for parents or others who make electronic payments for them. If a login name and/or password is lost, the student will have to authorize again.

What if I as an authorized payer forget my user name or password?
If a parent or other authorized payer has lost or forgotten their unique login name or password, the parent or other authorized payer must contact the student for the information.

How do I reset the password for my authorized payer?
The student can reset an authorized payers password by logging into the MyPACK Portal. Select "Student Self Service", "Campus Finances", and "Account Summary". Select "View eBILL". Once the ePAY site opens, select "Authorize Payers". The student should choose the "Edit" icon beside the authorized payers name. On the "Edit Authorized Payer" screen, the student can choose the "Reset Password" button. The authorized payer will be sent an email notifying them that the password has been changed.

Can I pay my student's statement before the student has set me up?
No. Students are encouraged to set parents or other authorized payers up so that the payer can make payments. This ensures payments are recorded quickly and accurately to the correct account.

How do I change the amount I would like to pay?
When you log into ePay and choose "Make Payment", the amount in the "Payment Amount" box defaults to the current balance on the student’s account. You can type over this amount and type in any amount you would like to pay.

Do you charge for online payments?
Electronic withdrawal from a checking or savings account may be made at no charge, however a 2% transaction fee will be charged on all credit card payments.

Why does NCSU charge a transaction fee for credit card payments?
The 2% fee on credit card transactions is to cover the fees charged to the university by the credit card companies. All credit card companies charge a percentage of the transaction amount to the person/company/agency receiving the payment (referred to as merchant service fees). MasterCard charges fees of approximately 2% of the transaction amount. The university pays that amount directly to the credit card company. We do not keep it. Since these fees represent a cost directly related to an individual payment, we pass that along to the individual payer rather than treating it as a general cost to be supported by all students. Keep in mind that payment can be made by electronic check (ACH debit) at no cost to you, and payment by regular check is still available at no cost.

Can I pay my bill from an earlier semester?
Yes, however, you cannot make payments on accounts that have been turned over to a collection agency. If your account has been turned over to a collection agency, please contact the collection agency to arrange payment.
When will payments show on my account?
Online payments are posted to the student's account immediately.
Can my payment be deducted directly from a checking or savings account (electronic check)?
Yes. You can choose to make a no-fee payment directly out of your checking account or savings account simply by providing your banking information. NOTE: Electronic check payments rejected by the bank due to insufficient funds or a closed account will be recharged to the student account and are subject to a $25.00 return charge, the same as a paper check.

Do you accept payments from non-United States bank accounts?
No. Any e-payments must be directly debited from a U. S. bank account. We are unable to accept payments from foreign bank accounts.

Is it safe to send my credit card or bank account information?
Yes, it is safe. Your personal information is not retained by NC State. All credit card and banking information is maintained by our vendor, who also provides this service for other major universities. All information is transmitted using the latest security technology, and all files are encrypted.

Can I make a payment with my debit card?
We are not able to accept ATM or Debit cards (cards that require the use of a "PIN" to input the transaction. However, if you have an enhanced debit card (also referred to as a "check card" or an "off-line" debit card) with a MasterCard logo, these will be processed the same as a credit card transaction, and the 2% transaction fee will apply. Only transactions processed as e-checks (using your bank routing number and account number) will be processed at no charge.

Can I make a payment with my Diners Club card?
Yes, you can pay with your Diners Club card. Please select the MasterCard payment option when paying with your Diners Club card.

Why can’t I pay with my VISA?
For some time, the University Cashier has accepted VISA payments through ePAY, charging a two percent transaction fee to cover the costs associated with making that payment option available. VISA will no longer allow us to charge this fee. Unlike other merchants, the University cannot raise its rates to cover this processing cost, and the University has chosen not to assess a new student fee to all students to cover the cost for some students to pay with a credit card. For this reason, beginning May 1, 2007 the University Cashier can no longer accept VISA for payment of student charges.

While we regret that VISA is no longer a payment option, for those who choose to pay with a credit card we are able to continue to offer MasterCard/Diners Club, and American Express under the same two percent transaction fee arrangement. In addition, in a continuing effort to provide a variety of payment options, NC State is pleased to announce that ePAY users may use the Discover Card for online payments beginning July 7, 2008.

For those who formerly paid with VISA or who use another form of credit card, we encourage you to use the convenient and secure no-cost alternative of e-check, which provides an electronic withdrawal from a checking or savings account and is accessible through MyPACK Portal. For Spring 2008 alone, nearly 11,000 students made e-check their no-cost payment method of choice!
