Parental Access
The federal law called the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, also known as FERPA or the Buckley Amendment, maintains that a student's financial records are private and confidential. The information contained in these records may only be released with consent from the student.
If a student wishes for the University Cashier's Office to discuss any details of their account with a parent, guardian or other, they must complete the online authorization through MyPACK Portal (using the student’s Unity ID and password). Select "Student Self Service", "Campus Finances", and "Parent Access" and enter the required information.
For complete information on the University policy concerning student privacy, please go to: http://www.ncsu.edu/legal/legal_topics/student_privacy.php
(**This access does not set up the parent as an authorized payer or allow access to pay or view a student's eBILL online.)
