University Cashier's Office changes credit card payment options -
VISA no longer accepted for on-line payment of Student Accounts

Effective May 1, 2007, the University can no longer accept online VISA payments for student accounts through ePAY. Previously, the University has accepted VISA for the student accounts, charging a two percent transaction fee to cover associated costs. VISA will no longer allow us to charge this fee, making it impractical for the University to continue accepting Visa cards for student charges.

While we regret that VISA is no longer a payment option, for those who choose to pay with a credit card, we are able to continue to offer MasterCard/Diners Club under the same two percent transaction fee arrangement. In a continuing effort to provide a variety of payment options, NC State is pleased to announce that ePAY users may use the American Express Card for online payments beginning April 4, 2007, and we anticipate being able to announce additional credit card options in the near future.

For those who formerly paid with VISA, or who use another form of credit card, we encourage you to use the convenient and secure no-cost alternative of e-check, which provides an electronic withdrawal from a checking or savings account and is accessible through Pack Tracks. For the Spring 2007 semester alone, nearly 8,000 students made e-check their no-cost payment method of choice! There is no fee charged for electronic checking account withdrawals!!!

A complete listing of payment options is available on the Cashier's Office website http://www.fis.ncsu.edu/cashier/billing/options_index.asp
