Arts NC State |
The Arts at NC State are as diverse as the people who participate
in them. Check it out, we're sure you will find something here
that you will enjoy!
ARTS NC STATE programs are funded through student fees and ticket
revenues. We welcome your support through your attendance at and
participation in our programs. We hope you will consider joining
the Friends of ARTS NC STATE which provides additional
financial support to our six visual and performing arts departments.

NCSU
Center Stage presents the professional performing arts series
at the university, featuring an eclectic season of jazz, modern
dance, world music, comedy, theatre and more. PineCone presents
the finest artists in traditional music in partnership with Center
Stage. Performances are in Stewart Theatre unless otherwise noted. |
The
Crafts Center, located on the lower level of the Thompson Building,
is one of the finest crafts facilities on any university campus.
Take one of the many crafts classes offered each semester in art,
pottery, photography, fibers, woodworking, glass, musical instrument
creation, lapidary, telescope making and more. |
The
Dance Program consists of two student performing companies:
the NCSU Dance Company performs modern dance works by the company's
artistic director and guest artists; DanceVisions performs works
that focus on the African-American cultural experience. The Dance
Program works with the Department of Physical Education in offering
academic classes. |
Gallery
of Art & Design's two galleries offer a series of exhibitions,
free and open to the public, featuring the best examples of regional,
national and international art. Internships, education programs
and tours are also available. |
The
Department of Music offers courses and ensembles for all types
of musical interests. Courses may fulfill general education requirements
or be part of the 18-hour music minor. Concerts are open to the
public throughout the year. Don't miss performances by our popular
choirs, orchestras, jazz bands, pipes and drums, and ensembles. |
University
Theatre is the volunteer student theatre that produces critically
acclaimed and sold out shows throughout the year. Academic courses
are available through the Department of Communication and Arts Applications,
but are not necessary for participation in theatre events. The summer
TheatreFest season features students and community actors. |
